We make your reception about you, your family and friends having a party to celebrate your marriage. It is not about us promoting ourselves or our business. If we do a great job for you at your reception, that is our best advertisement for future clients.
We will perform all the normal duties of emcee for your reception, announcing the wedding party, and other traditional activities like the first dances, etc.
We have an awesome sound system, an extensive library of nearly 60,000 songs that we update weekly, and includes Billboard hits from 1946-2009, so something for everybody. All of our music is purchased through a paid subscription that is only available to radio stations and professional entertainment companies. This is specifically important for events such as yours because our collection only includes the "clean" radio play versions of each song. We allow you to create your own play list from our online database, as well as completely plan your event with our online tools.
I like to meet with bride AND groom shortly after the decision is made to hire us and then again 2-3 weeks before the wedding just to make sure we're all together on how the event will unfold and to make clear that all requests have been noted.
We can also offer dance floor lights included in the quote if you'd like them, sometimes this depends on the time of day or the venue.
We use an all digital system so we are able to take music requests at the reception if you want to allow that. We carry a complete back-up system including laptop, hard drive, mixer, extra speaker cables and power cords. We would never ruin your reception by not being prepared for the worst. We also use powered speakers and subwoofers (which means each of our units has the amplifier built into it) so if one should fail, we can continue the party using the other three and not miss a note of a song). As far as our interaction with the guests, we can offer as much or as little as you want. Our preference is that less is better because the focus should be on the guests and the party.
School Dances and Teen Events
Coordinating a middle school or high school dance can be a nightmare if you don't have reliable entertainment. Often, schools hire student-run bands to perform at dances to save money and end up disappointed when those bands run into technical problems or fail to perform as promised. We use professional equipment to ensure appropriate sound coverage and lighting balance. When inexperienced companies host school dances, they often play too loud or too rough. We are experts and have the knowledge to set up our equipment correctly for each particular facility, so you won't run into logistical issues or end up with a less than required sound arrangement.
